Students arrive at the camp in time for lunch. After unpacking, lunch will be served followed by de-briefing before embarking on an evening game drive to Ol Pejeta conservancy. A three hour game drive will introduce students to Ol Pejeta conservancy its three main habitats; Woodland, Wetlands, and Savannah Grasslands. Our main focus will be linking habitats and the adaptation of animals as they inhabit various habitats. Return back to the camp for showers and diaries. De-briefing follows after the dinner on the next day hiking at Old Moses camp
After breakfast, prepare hiking gears ready for a long day out of camp. Drive to Sirimon gate ready for hiking. The walk to Old Moses is about 9Km through the forest. Observe and learn about forest ecosystems whilst learning about tress (Plantae Kingdom). Old Moses offers a panoramic view of the Laikipia plateau and a close encounter with the snow capped Mt Kenya. After lunch and relaxing, walk back to the camp for showers and diaries
Drive back to school via Chaka ranch where you can enjoy various team building actives (optional). This is also a fun day as you say bye to Laikipia.
